The mission of JROTC (Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps) is to motivate young people to be better citizens.  Students learn leadership skills like motivating others, decision making, planning, effective speaking and writing, teamwork, and problem solving. Junior ROTC also offers a wide variety of curricular and extracurricular activities.  It is an accelerated 2-year program providing a 4-year curriculum in two years to 11-12 grade students.  In special cases, tenth graders are accepted into the program.

No student enrolled in Junior ROTC is under any obligation to join any branch of the US Armed Forces.
