My name is Troy Doss and it is a privilege to be a part of Susie G. Gibson Science and Technology Center. This year marks my 30th year in education. I have varied experience as a teacher and school leader. For the first 12 years of my career, I served at the elementary, middle and high school levels, teaching a variety of grades and content areas in all three zones of the county. I then served one year as an Athletic Director and then 10 years as an Assistant Principal at Jefferson Forest High School. After leaving JF, I spent three years as the Supervisor of Maintenance before taking over as the Principal of SGSTC in January of 2021.
My passion is working with all stakeholders to provide the support necessary to ensure we meet the needs of everyone in this great community. This means working with students as they grow, supporting teachers and staff to help them reach their greatest potential, and connecting with parents and community leaders also. Here at SGSTC we are committed to fostering a positive learning environment and preparing our students for career and college success. I am looking forward to the start of a successful 2023-2024 school year.
